AI-Powered Content Planning: Save Time, Boost Engagement
Ready to ditch the overwhelm and streamline your content creation? AI is here to help! While this new technology might seem daunting, it can be a powerful tool for planning engaging content.
Building Your Content Pillars
Before starting to plan your content, think about your values and how you want to incorporate your or your brand's values into your content.
Ask yourself these two questions:
Of all the things I love, what topics am I most excited to build an aligned audience around?
Which topics do I have magic around that I'm monetizing or planning to monetize?
You don't have to choose just one of those things; instead, make those topics your main content pillars, themes, and genius.
As you create content, your pillars should help narrate your genius. They should give your followers something to remember you by and be a theme in your story.
The goal is for someone to see you pop up on their feed and say, "Hey, this is the girl that's all about ___; she's so helpful when it comes to ___! Love her!"
Once you've decided on your content pillars or genius (maybe there are 3-5 topics), think about the things happening in your life that result from your genius.
Introduction to AI
While new technology can be frustrating and often intimidating, it is essential to keep up with it.
Your willingness to learn about new technologies is categorized through the Adoption Curve, which categorizes different groups based on their ability to adopt and adapt to new technologies.
There are many different resources available for using AI.
These are my favorites:
ChatGPT - a large language model-based chatbot (uses deep learning techniques + data sets); a copywriting assistant tool
Gemini AI (formerly Bard) - has access to the internet in real-time; a research, marketing support and assistant tool
ManyChat - automated conversations on IG, FB, SMS, and more
Grammarly - write mistake-free in Email, Texts, Instagram, Facebook, and any other app
Important Note: Always fact-check AI-generated information, as it can contain bias or misinformation.

Prompts to use in ChatGPT
"Let's create a 30-day content plan. Start with my main content themes: [enter 3-5 main themes]. Begin by giving me 5 sub-themes within each main idea."
AI will outline those themes; now you have 15-25 ideas to begin.
"Now, take this information and give me 5 specific topics within each-sub-theme."
AI will reply with another round of ideas and topics.
Before you go further, instruct AI to cut any ideas you don't like. Then follow this prompt:
"Based on our brainstormed themes and topics, create a 30-day content plan in table format for my business. Include:
Day number
Primary theme
Content description
Content type (e.g., Success Tips, Personal Story, Inspirational Idea) alternating between your chosen types
Compelling hook to grab attention
A how-to section with detailed information for your audience”
From there, AI should build your content plan in a table format. If it stops before 30 days, ask it to complete 30 days.
You can ask for a 2-week or 14-day content plan similarly.
Use AI to discover your audience
Try this prompt to determine the demographics of your audience for your product:
“As a [industry role], I want to find my target audience. Identify three specific groups for my business, [business name]. Consider details like age, interests, and traits that match [your products/services].”
These tools can help you spend more time being creative, getting OOO, or going on holiday with friends. Using AI can save time and prevent unnecessary writer's block.
When we are trying to do it all, social media can feel overwhelming - but you have to have a plan to grow.
TL;DR
While AI has challenges, it's a powerful tool that can save time and provide valuable insights.
Experiment with AI-generated content plans to discover what works best for you and watch your content strategy flourish!
