How to Become the Woman of your Dreams
Imagine the woman you want to be. You can grab a paper and pencil to write down some things you want to incorporate in your life or traits you want to work on developing.
Dreaming can be a handy tool to recognize what you want and set goals to achieve this version of yourself.
Creating detailed and specific goals and agendas for yourself that are within reach is a great habit that can facilitate healthy routines.
Start small by incorporating little changes, which can become habitual over time.
Her Routines
What does a day in her life look like?
Creating a consistent routine can facilitate healthy habits. List two elements you want to add or change about your routine.
With experimentation, you can discover what works and does not work for your routine. Routines facilitate productivity and creativity.
Morning Routine
Does she wake up early?
Waking up at a set and consistent time increases productivity and builds habitual routines.
Does she spend five minutes journaling before checking her phone or email?
Limiting or reducing screen time throughout the day can incredibly benefit your mental health and energy levels.
The Five Minute Journal is a great way to do this and set goals for your day ahead.
What do her mornings look like?
Does she make her bed in the morning? Does she make herself a fulfilling and nourishing breakfast to help build and sustain her energy levels?
Does she go briskly outside to set a positive tone for the rest of her day?
5-9 Routine
What is her routine when she gets home from work or school?
Does she go on a run or go to a workout class?
Does she try to incorporate 1-2 housekeeping habits like doing her laundry or changing her bed sheets?
What is her nighttime routine?
Does she limit her screen time to 1 hour before bed?
Does she read or journal for 30 minutes before bed?
Her Self-Care & Mental Health
Does she take time out of her busy work day to prioritize herself?
Whether reading affirmations or meditating, does she find ways to better herself?
Does she try to spend 15 to 30 minutes outside every day?
Taking a quick walk around the block or sitting outside during breaks throughout the day are great ways to get fresh air, allow yourself to take a break, and disconnect from what is going on around you.
Does she use social media to check in on and update friends and family rather than mindlessly scrolling?
Social media can be a great tool for keeping in touch with friends and meeting new people, but it can also be distracting and draining
While overconsumption of social media can be harmful, it can be extremely beneficial when used correctly.
Long Term Goals
What is her vision for the future?
What areas of her life does want to work on or improve upon? Growth and change are not linear, and it is healthy to set goals for yourself to continue to achieve and strive towards.
Here are a couple steps to start long-term goal planning:
(1) Identify your values
Understanding your priorities and end goal in long-term planning is a great place to start.
(2) Break your long-term goals down into short-term goals
Write down all the steps to achieve your long-term goals
Set each step as a short-term goal necessary for achieving your long-term goals
(3) Track your progress
Journaling can be a great tool to track your progress
For example, if you want to wake up earlier every day, write down an entry with a timestamp when you wake up
Describe in this entry how you feel waking up earlier and document how this might change
This is also possible through online applications like Notion or Goodnotes
Prompts for becoming the woman of your dreams
Does she show up for herself? Is she trying to better herself for her own well-being and not for the validation of others?
How does she carry herself? Is she confident and proud of who she is?
What is her mindset and outlook for the day? Is she excited, energized, and ready to take on the day?
How does she think about herself? Is it uplifting and motivating? Does she find ways to keep out pessimistic thoughts?
How does she practice healthy spending habits?
Start showing up to those habits and routines, and start building them, step by step, day by day.
Confronting your reality builds confidence and gets you out of your comfort zone and on a path to your potential.
It is essential to hold yourself accountable, but it is equally important to take care of yourself.
Setting goals within reach prevents you from exhausting yourself and can make long-term goals more accessible.
You don’t become her like magic. You build her.
